| The Albany VA Medical Center located in Albany, New York is seeking a permanent full-time Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to assume a staff position. The Albany VAMC serves Veterans with diverse orthopedic surgical needs. We are seeking candidates with excellent clinical skills and experience in the full range of general orthopedic care including major joint replacement. The ideal successful candidate will have experience and/or specialized fellowship training in upper extremity procedures and be able to perform the full spectrum of upper extremity procedures as well as general orthopedic procedures. |
All candidates must have strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills with a commitment to academics. General Orthopedic surgeons or those with specialty interests will be considered. Ideal candidates will have excellent clinical and surgical skills in an academic setting, a successful record of and commitment to teaching resident surgeons and a demonstrated interest in basic or clinical research. The Albany VA is located near the pristine Adirondack Mountains and lakes, and situated between New York City, Boston and Montreal.
