Henry Ford Health’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Service Line is searching for full-time academic orthopaedic trauma surgery faculty members to join our expanding practice in the southeast region of Michigan. The successful applicant will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in academic medicine, splitting time in between a Level 1 and Level 2 trauma hospitals with 2 orthopaedic surgery residencies, respectively. Preference will be given to applicants interested in complex orthopaedic traumatic injuries and/ or a track record of research productivity. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Michigan, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency, and 5) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic trauma surgery fellowship or its equivalent.
