The University of Michigan Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Section of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery is looking to expand our dynamic team. We are seeking a full-time faculty member who is fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. We serve a diverse community of children and adolescents with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. We offer a variety of clinical opportunities at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, as well as at our satellite locations and community practice settings. We also offer opportunities for teaching and research.

This is an excellent opportunity in a unique clinical practice with teaching and research at this major medical center while living in one of the best small cities in the country.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have a M.D., and be board certified or eligible for certification in orthopaedic surgery. They should have completed an ACGME- or POSNA-accredited pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship program. Candidates should hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. They should demonstrate outstanding clinical care abilities. The ideal candidate should also have an interest in resident/fellow education, clinical research, and scholarly activity.

Desired Qualifications:

It is desirable for candidates to have experience and skill caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and working with/mentoring diverse populations in academic training.

Underfill Statement:

This position is posted as Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor.  The rank of the selected candidate will depend on qualifications.
