Clinician Scientist – Spine Service

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking applicants for a Clinician Scientist position in the Spine Service. The applicant should have formal training in complex spinal surgery. Candidates with training and experience in Spine Oncology will be preferred. Successful candidates will have significant experience in basic science research. An established record of scientific rigor as demonstrated by manuscripts published in respected basic science journals is expected. We envision a position made up of 40% clinical activity and 60% of time spent in the laboratory. It is expected that the candidate will be able to obtain independent funding within 3-5 years.
