Hip Preservation Fellowship Position

Duration: 1 year (August 1 – July 31) 2018-2019

Stipend: $88,136 (2017/18) per annum/benefits (subsidized housing also available)

Location: Hospital for Special Surgery; NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital; Weill Cornell Medical College

Goals and Characteristics:

The goal is to offer the fellow clinical experience in the recognition and management of hip pain in the young, active pre-arthritic hip. The fellow gains concentrated specialization on hip preservation with a large volume of both open (Pelvic and Femoral Osteotomy as well as Surgical Hip Dislocation) and arthroscopic joint preservation techniques. Our Hip Preservation Fellowship Program parallels the Hospital for Special Surgery’s mission of patient care, education and research.

Eligible candidates will have completed a fellowship program in Sports Medicine, Adult Reconstruction, Pediatric Orthopedics, or Orthopedic Trauma.
