Orthopaedic Geriatric Trauma Fellowship 2019-2020

Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

Regions Hospital/University of Minnesota
Saint Paul, Minnesota

The University of Minnesota and Regions Hospital offers an exceptional multi-disciplinary Geriatric Orthopaedic Fellowship for 2019-2020 and beyond. Regions Hospital is a high volume community Level 1 Trauma Center. We are the first in the nation to formally establish such a training opportunity certified by the International Geriatric Fracture Society (IGFS).

We are seeking qualified candidates for fellowship year 2019-2020 and beyond.

The Fellowship experience focuses specifically on the unique challenges of orthopaedic care in the older fracture patient. The fellowship provides training with the orthopaedic trauma and adult reconstruction teams in addition to a multi-disciplinary team of national leaders in geriatric care (including geriatricians, palliative care specialists, and endocrinologists).

Qualified candidates should be graduates or current residents of an accredited US orthopaedic residency program and available to obtain a Minnesota medical license by July 2019 or beyond.
