Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedic Oncology Fellowship Position to begin August 1, 2018.

The fellowship is pending ACGME accreditation and will be one year in length from August through July. Applicants must have completed an orthopaedic surgery residency program.

Each fellow participates in the clinical, operative and educational activities of the Orthopaedic Oncology division. The goal is to educate the fellow to function as a fully trained Orthopaedic Oncologist. The fellow is exposed to a broad spectrum of pediatric and adult malignant and benign musculoskeletal tumors. There is a requirement to complete a published clinical and/or basic science research project during the fellowship.

The fellowship is associated with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. The Department currently has 98 physicians and 28 clinical locations of care serving Houston and the surrounding Southeast Texas communities.
