Job Details

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center is seeking applicants for Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at LSUHSC Shreveport, Louisiana, USA.


The fellowship is primarily focused on the following three areas:

-Management, both operative and nonoperative of complex polytrauma including pelvic, acetabular, and periarticular fractures,

-Reconstructive fracture management
including non-unions, malunions, and deformity correction, and

-Clinical investigation and research.


The fellowship provides extensive operative exposure of complex fractures with an emphasis on pelvic and acetabular injuries in excess of 180 such cases per year.  

Emphasis is placed on becoming proficient with advanced techniques for the fixation of trauma injuries, including suprapatellar tibial nailing, application of InFx, and C-Clamps, circular external fixators.

This fellowship does not participate in
the San Francisco match program, but meets the criteria for OTA Accredited Fellowship Program.



Completion of a valid orthopaedic residency program (MD, DO); International candidate are welcomed, according to the rules of ECFMG and Louisiana Board.
